Here's everything you need for this drool-worthy beef brisket. One note: this is a professional recipe and makes a larger quantity than your average recipe.
Let's Get Started…
Ingredients To Gather:
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1 bay leaf, crushed
- 4 pounds beef brisket, trimmed
- 1 1/2 cups beef stock
Directions To Follow:
Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, mix the chili powder, salt, garlic and onion powders, black pepper, sugar, dry mustard and bay leaf together and rub over both sides of the meat.
Next, place the meat in a roasting pan and roast uncovered for 1 hour. Now add beef stock and water so that there's about 1 inch of liquid in the pan, and then turn the heat down to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Cover tightly and cook until the meat is tender when tested with a fork, which usually takes about 3 hours. When it's done, trim the fat and cut the meat into thin slices, and then pour the juice from the pan on top.
We like this recipe because it makes 10 servings, which means everyone can have seconds or you can have leftovers for a quick and easy meal another night. What could be better? After all, this brisket is so rich and hearty you'll want to have it every night!
