This Sausage Gravy Tastes So Good That You Better Make A Boat-Load!
You know it's going to be a special day when your breakfast includes a sausage gravy. It's not every day you whip out the roux making skills, so that alone makes it a special moment. Plus, sausage gravy goes oh so well on so many different breakfast options. Think; biscuits, chicken fried steak, potatoes, etc. You get the idea. A breakfast with gravy means it's going to be a good day.
This recipe is super easy to make and shows you the fundamentals of what it takes to make a roux, if you've never tried to make one before. What's great is that this technique is the foundation for practically all things you know and love. You can make any kind of gravy with this method. You can also make a killer mac & cheese, and lots of other sauces. Once you find out how easy it is to make, I think you'll be making a lot more sauces from scratch from now on. At least that's what happened in my experience. I felt like so many doors opened for me.

How would people not know…
Well if it was made with chipped beef instead of sausage it would be called “Chipped beef on toast” or in the old days the sailors called it “S.O.S.” she.. on a shingle because they had it sooo often.
