The incident began when the woman, along with another woman, entered the restaurant and tried to start up a conversation with the officer before taking a french fry off of his plate.
All She Did Was Take A French Fry!
When she took a second fry, the officer asked her to stop. “I then politely asked D-1 to not do that again because I paid for that food and she was stealing from me and she could be arrested for theft of my food,” the officer wrote in the police report.
The woman allegedly told the officer, “Well then you might as well take me to jail.”
When the woman reached over and stole a third fry, the officer did just that and the woman now faces theft charges. The incident is still under investigation.
Damn!
We're guilty of having an intense french fry craving from time to time, but we can't imagine going so far as to steal fries off of a police officer's plate. That's one unusual crime for sure.
