Our Simple Blend Of Herbs & Spices Make This Oven Roasted Steak Recipe Absolutely Delicious

This incredible oven-made steak makes enough for two servings but you can just double the ingredients if you need more. It takes between fifteen to twenty minutes to prepare and cook.

Let's Get Started…

The Ingredients To Gather: 

  • 1 1-pound steak, 1 to 1 1/2 inches thick, rib-eye, T-bone, filet mignon, or strip steak
  • 2 tablespoons canola or vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • ground black pepper

The Equipment To Gather: 

  1. Cast iron or stainless steel skillet
  2. Pastry brush
  3. Long tongs
  4. Oven mitt

The Step By Step Directions To Follow: 

  1. Open the package,  blot the steak dry with paper towels.
  2. Turn on your oven's broiler and place an oven rack 6 to 8 inches below the broiler element.
  3. Put the skillet on the rack to heat up with the oven.
  4. Drizzle a little oil over the steak and use your fingers or a brush to spread it evenly over the steak and on the sides.
  5. Turn on a stove burner to high heat.
  6. Transfer the hot skillet from the oven to the stovetop.
  7. Use kitchen tongs to place the steak in the middle of the hot pan. It should sizzle immediately.
  8. Sear for 30 seconds.
  9. Flip, sear the other side for 30 seconds.
  10. Put the skillet back below the broiler.
  11. Pull out the skillet and carefully flip the steak.
  12. Return to the oven and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  13. Take the steak out of the oven and transfer it to a large cutting board.
  14. Tent it loosely with aluminum foil and let the steak rest for about 5 minutes.
  15. Slice the steak and fan slices out on each plate.
