Serve This Tender Skirt Steak With A Festive Salsa Verde The Next Time You Fire Up The Grill!

Lemon is the major player that provides this sauce its zesty flavor!

The most crucial thing when cooking steak that everyone needs to keep in mind is how you actually cook the steak! Obviously, you should pay attention to the main star to have a great meal.

Ingredients To Gather:

  • 1/2 cup olive oil, divided
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon grated lemon zest
  • 2 cups chopped fresh herbs
  • 1 cup chopped parsley leaves
  • 1 1/2 pounds skirt steak, trimmed, cut into two or three 10-inch pieces
  • Lemon wedges

Preparation To Follow:

  1. Mix oil, garlic, and lemon zest; season with salt and pepper. Let marinate for 20 minutes. Add herbs to mixture. Let stand about 10 minutes.
  2. Season skirt steak and grill until charred. Let rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Slice it against the grain on a diagonal. Season to taste. Spoon half of herb salsa verde over. Serve with lemon wedges.

A suggestion regarding this recipe is when you are charring your steak on the grill, if you prefer it to be medium-rare, cook the steak for 2 minutes per side. In addition, some of the herb options that you can choose are tarragon, mint, and savory.
