Here's everything you need for this delectable french dip. This recipe requires just 15 minutes of prep time and makes between 6 and 8 servings.
Let's Get Started…
Ingredients To Gather:
- seasoning salt
- garlic powder
- black pepper
- 1 pkg lipton onion soup mix
- 2 box
- 48 oz beef broth
- 1 roast (use a good cut) shoulder 3+ lbs
- 16 oz beer of choice
- good french bread
Some Of Extra Stuff You Should Grab:
- 1 medium
- onion
- 1 small
- bell pepper
- swiss cheese
Directions to Follow
- Now I have an oval crock pot…not sure of the size so you will have to judge if you have a smaller one.
- Put roast in crock pot…use a good coat of all the seasonings listed.
- Add lipton onion soup mix…
- Add a beer (I use a Bud)*** can use 2 if you like.
- Add 2 boxes of beef broth
Make sure the roast is completely covered and then set your crock pot to low or medium. Cook the roast until it falls apart, which usually takes between 4 and 6 hours. When it's done, shred it with a fork and get enough to fit between two slices of bread. You can toast the bread if you prefer. Add toppings such as onion and cheese, and then use the dip to dunk your sandwich.
Finished!
That is one incredible french dip recipe, and we just love how easy it is to make. In fact, this recipe was so simple, this may be our new go-to lunch food. It's hearty, rich and satisfying and perfect for both a crisp fall day and a sunny springtime lunch on the patio.
Enjoy!
