Spicy Mustard BBQ Chicken

Spicy Mustard BBQ Chicken

So now that the “cats out of the bag” lets review what we are going to need to bring this tangy treat to the table.

Ingredients

  • 4 Large Chicken Breasts
  • Medium Size Bottle of Yellow Mustard
  • Small Bottle of Franks Red Hot Sauce (or your preferred hot sauce of choice)
  • Kosher Salt
  • Crushed Black Pepper
  • Tablespoon of Brown Sugar

The Saucy Sauce

  1. In large mixing bowl, combine bottle of mustard along with a generous amount of your desired hot sauce. (I recommend tasting as you go to ensure your sauce is not too hot, unless you really want to test your spicy limits like me)!
  2. Add tablespoon of brown sugar, salt and pepper and mix through until you have a consistent base.
  3. Once you have heated your grill, adjust temperature to medium.
  4. Place chicken breasts on grill. Using a basting brush, spread your sauce mixture on top sides of breasts.
  5. Grill chicken breasts for adequate times to ensure thorough heating, flipping only once. (7 to 10 minutes per side on medium heat).
  6. Baste seared top sides with sauce and flip once more.

Special Note

Basting both sides of your chicken breasts prior to grilling could result in a burnt texture and affect the over all presentation of this mouth watering BBQ dish.

Once your chicken is thoroughly basted and grilled through, its time to enjoy your latest BBQ masterpiece!

Enjoy!

As I mentioned earlier, this is one of my latest go to BBQ dishes. The great thing about BBQ chicken is the pairing options, you can serve your Spicy Mustard BBQ chicken along side many other meat dishes, such as Ribs, or alongside the traditional staples of BBQ, such as coleslaw, baked beans, corn, etc.

Be sure to add your own flavor to your Spicy Mustard BBQ Chicken. There is one thing that all my years of being an amateur chef has taught me and that has to be that creativity is the key.

With a dish like chicken, it is pretty much impossible to go wrong. So long as your finished product is cooked through, you are off to the BBQ races!

Happy BBQ'ing, and be sure to share your comments below!
