Straight From The HERSHEY Factory: This Chocolate Mousse & Praline Pie Was Pure Heaven!!!

This truly divine chocolate mousse pie makes eight servings but you can always double the recipe if you want plenty left over to enjoy again later.

This pie takes about twenty minutes to prepare then has to refrigerate for three to four hours to chill and set.

Let's Get Started…

The Ingredients To Gather:

  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2/3 cup pecans
  • 1 packaged crumb crust
  • 16 pecan halves
  • 1 teaspoon unflavored gelatin
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 2 tablespoons boiling water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
  • 1 cup cold whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  • Microwave butter 1 minute.
  • Add brown sugar, water, cornstarch; stir.
  • Microwave HIGH 1 minute or until mixture comes to full boil.
  • Stir in chopped pecans; spread mixture on bottom of crust.

The Additional Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  1. Place your pie crust in the freezer and make the chocolate mousse filling.
  2. Then spread the mousse over pecan portion of the pie.
  3. Make sure to Cover the pie and allow it to refrigerate for about four hours.
  4. Top with halved pecans. Add a little bit of cold water to the gelatin.
  5. Allow to to set for 1 minute so it gets soft.
  6. Pour in the boiling water and stir it until the gelatin totally dissolves.
  7. Allow it to cool for 5 minutes.
  8. Combine sugar, cocoa, whipping cream and the vanilla extract.
  9. Use the medium speed of your mixer to beat the ingredients until they stiffen.
  10. Then add the gelatin mixture and make sure it get blends thoroughly with the other ingredients.
