I love tater tots but I hate the notion that everyone always seems to think they can be served for breakfast only… who made up these rules?!
I instead of following a norm; which I never do when it comes to cooking, I kicked things up a notch and really made something fantastic. This Cheesy Tater Tot Casserole is first sauteed in a delicious sauce with mushrooms, garlic,onions, peas and beef then it's baked!
The result is a cheesy tater tot creation that can be served practically anytime of day. This casserole is absolutely amazing and a definite keeper in my book. I couldn't get over how good everything came out. I was thoroughly impressed and will be making this again tonight.
If you have kids then they are going to love taking the crispy tater tots off from the top and dipping them in the delicious cheesy sauce. Don't ever worry about making too much of this recipe… once it comes out of the oven; it's gone.
