No Time to Thaw? Cook It Frozen!

  1. Yes, you can cook a frozen or partially frozen turkey in the oven! It is safe to do and makes a surprisingly good turkey.
  2. Cook the turkey at 325°F and increase the cooking time by about 50 percent if totally frozen, or by about 25 percent if your turkey is at least partially thawed.
  3. The turkey is done when it registers at least 165°F in all areas. Do not deep-fry or grill a frozen turkey.

    I use the cold water thawing method every year and once my turkey goes in the oven I disinfect the whole kitchen before I prep anything else.
