We've never thought too much about how we store our eggs, beyond ensuring they're cold enough — but not too cold — and that they're situated in the refrigerator so that they won't be crushed under heavier items. However, we recently realized there's a lot more than that to proper egg storage, thanks to a photo posted online that's prompting a heated debate!
The viral photo shows four possible ways to arrange eggs when there are four left, ranging from clustered together in the middle to spread out so there are two at each end. Once the photo started making the rounds, people clamored to share their thoughts on the controversial subject, and many were very adamant about which way was best. Some people even admitted to compulsively rearranging the eggs as they used them! We don't think we'd ever be that diligent, but it did get us curious about all the different methods and which one we preferred.
