This recipe uses ground beef and Italian sausage but you can use any meat that you like. This recipe also uses ricotta cheese but you can use cottage cheese or any other cheese that you like as long as is soft. If you bake this right away, it takes about twenty minutes so you won't have to wait long at all to enjoy this new take on the classic lasagna!

The Ingredients To Gather:
- 20 Lasagna Noodles
- 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 Onion
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 1-1/2 pound Ground Beef
- 1/2 pound Italian Sausage
- 28 ounces Canned Diced Tomatoes
- 8 ouncesTomato Paste
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- 3 Tablespoons Parsley
- 3 Tablespoons Basil
- 30 ounces, Ricotta Cheese
- 2 Eggs
- 3/4 cups Parmesan Cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 Tablespoon Parsley
- 1 Tablespoon Basil
- 1 pound Mozzarella
The Step By Step Directions To Follow:
- Boil lasagna noodles. Drain and lay flat on a sheet of foil.
- Heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add onions and garlic and cook for a couple of minutes. Add ground beef and sausage and stir, cooking it until totally browned. Drain excess fat, add diced tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper, parsley, and basil. Reduce the heat and simmer, 30 minutes.
- Make the filling by combining ricotta, eggs, Parmesan, salt, pepper, parsley, and basil.
- Spoon a little sauce into the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch pan. Spread 2-3 tablespoons ricotta filling on each noodle, then roll them up. Lay them sideways in pans. Top with remaining sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan.,
- Bake at 375 for 20 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
