
Bean Based
We all love hummus, which has a base of garbanzo beans, mixed with tahini and lemon. Blending in roasted red pepper makes a delicious variation. Try other kinds of beans, such as black bean or white bean. Besides tahini, yogurt is also a great addition for a creamy dip. The beans should of course be cooked, then blended to the consistency that you like. Here are some of my favorite combos:
White bean + fresh garlic + basil (or parsley) + lemon
Black Bean + tomato + chives + cilantro
Garbanzo beans + yogurt + sriracha + taco seasoning
Kidney beans + yogurt + dill + red onion
