The USDA Just Revealed Positive News In The Fight Against Worldwide Hunger!

There are multiple reasons for the projected decrease in world hunger rates, as website Gizmodo reports. However, there's also a drawback to the good news, namely that people in many countries eat just one or two types of food.

While it's good news that the prices of these foods will likely decrease, it's still not healthy to have such a limited diet.

The USDA just crunched the numbers on food costs in the world’s low- and middle-income countries, which also have the majority of the world’s hungry people. In those countries, grain typically makes up the bulk of the diet—and grain prices, across the board, are projected to drop this decade. At the same time, many of those same countries are also predicted to see small gains in income.

Taken together, the simultaneous drop in prices and rise in income means that the number of hungry people globally will fall 60 percent over the next decade. That means that, by 2026, just 6 percent of the world’s population will struggle with hunger.

This Is Excellent News!

The current percentage is 17 percent, so that's quite an impressive drop, don't you think? How do you feel about this news?
