Let's Get Started!

The Ingredients To Gather Are:

Brownies:
3/4 cup unsalted butter
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 TBSP vanilla extract
1 TBSP espresso powder
4 eggs
1 cup unbleached flour

 Frosting:
1 cup unsalted butter
2 pounds powdered sugar
1/2 cup  Guinness (yes you read that correctly, trust us it's AMAZING)
2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste
2 pinches fine sea salt

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

Grease  pan. Preheat oven to 325.

Melt  butter over medium-low heat. Stir in  sugars. Stir, heat until  sugar is hot,  not boiling, just another couple of minutes.

Remove  pan from  heat, stir in  cocoa powder, salt, baking powder. Combine  vanilla, espresso powder,  add to  batter. Whisk in eggs one at a time. Stir in  flour.

Spread  batter into pan. Bake 28-30 minutes. Place on a wire rack to cool.

Make  frosting:
Cream  butter until smooth. Sift in  sugar, add beer, vanilla bean paste,  sea salt. Mix on low until combined, increase  mixer speed to medium-high, beat for a few minutes until smooth, thick.
Spread 2/3rds of frosting onto brownies. Refrigerate for at least one hour before cutting.

Serve cold.

Enjoy!
