You are going to LOVE this pork chop recipe. It's so simple and easy to execute, that you won't believe how amazing the flavor is. The pork chops are so juicy they practically melt in your mouth! So just what we mean when you make this recipe.
Things You Will Need:
- 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 8 (4-ounce) boneless center-cut pork chops
- 1 cup nonfat buttermilk
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup fat-free milk
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- 1 cup of flour
How To Prepare:
- Start with the flour. You'll want to start by setting 2 tablespoons of flour aside, we'll use it later. Put the rest of the flour in a shallow dish, like a plate.
- Combine your seasonings and rub all over the pork chops on both sides.
- Dip your chop in the buttermilk and then dredge with the flour from the shallow plate, then coat with cooking spray.
- Cook the pork chops in small batches by frying them in a heavy skillet on the stovetop. Don't forget to let the chops rest on paper towels to soak up all of the extra grease.
- Make your gravy by adding flour to the pan drippings in the skillet. Mix in milk, stirring constantly, until your gravy has thickened. Serve immediately and garnish with notes of green.
Note: Serve with traditional sides, like mashed potatoes and green beans. Or, you can serve it like my grandmother did, with sourdough toast and German pickles.
Enjoy & Happy Cooking!
