These Smothered Pork Chops Might Just Become Your New Favorite Thing To Serve For Dinner

This wonderful pork chop recipe makes enough for four servings but if you want to enjoy it again the next day, you can always double the ingredients.

You can really make this recipe your own and add color of bell peppers that you prefer. If you don't want it to be spicy, you can leave the cayenne pepper out. They take ten minutes to prepare and twenty minutes to cook.

The Ingredients To Gather:

  • 1-1/2 cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Seasoned Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon Pepper Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
  • Pinch Of Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • 8 Breakfast Pork Chops
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil
  • 7 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1  Onion,
  • 1  Green Bell Pepper
  • 1 Yellow Bell Pepper
  • 1  Red Bell Pepper
  • 3 Tablespoons Flour
  • 2 cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 Tablespoons Cream

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  1. Whisk together flour, seasoned salt, lemon pepper, cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper in  pie plate.
  2. Dredge pork chops in  flour mixture.
  3. Heat olive oil, 4 tablespoons of  butter it over medium heat.
  4. Fry  pork chops in batches until well browned, 2  minutes per side.
  5. Remove chops from  skillet.
  6. Add  onions,  peppers to the same skillet.
  7. Cook , stirring occasionally, 10 minutes.
  8. Remove them to a plate.
  9. To the same skillet, add  remaining 3 tablespoons butter, 3 tablespoons flour.
  10. Whisk  into  paste.
  11. Stir, cook until  roux turns dark golden,  2 minutes.
  12. Whisk in  stock a bit at a time.
  13. Add  cream.
  14. Taste,  add more salt and pepper as needed.
  15. Add  onions,  peppers, coating them in  sauce.
