
Note that you can use any type of cheese you want in this recipe. We think that's great, because then the possibilities are endless. You can try a different version every day!
Ingredients To Gather:
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 Tablespoons heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg
- 6 slices Bread
- 6 slices partially cooked bacon (2 minutes in microwave or 10 minutes in a 400 oven)
- 4 slices of cheese (your favorite)
- 6 eggs
- salt and pepper to taste
- maple syrup or honey
Directions To Follow:
Start by preheating the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit . Beat three eggs and whisk them together with the cream, cinnamon and nutmeg. Then, dip the bread in this mixture and press it down into the tin to make a cup. Lay cheese in the bottom of this cup and wrap the bacon around the outside. Return the cup to its original position and then pour a cracked egg down into it. To finish, bake for 20 minutes and then pour the maple syrup over it after it's done.
We like that this recipe requires just a few minutes of prep time. Start preparing it when you get up, and then stick in the oven to cook and start getting ready for your day. By the time you've brushed your hair and gotten dressed, you'll have a hot breakfast waiting for you!
