This Baked Egg Casserole Is How You Should Be Making Breakfast In The Morning

This amazing breakfast recipe uses only a handful of delicious ingredients to make a dish that is truly mouth watering. It takes about thirty-five to forty minutes to bake. The eggs should be nice and golden and puffed up when it is done so it will look amazing but it will taste even better. Your family won't wait to dig right in!

The Ingredients To Gather: 

 

  • 2 c. coarsely grated Gruyere cheese (about 6 oz.)
  • 1/2 c. chopped chives
  • 10 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. whole milk
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 tsp grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

The Step By Step Directions To Follow: 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and butter a 2-quart baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle gruyere and chives evenly.
  3. Sprinkle gruyere and chives evenly over bottom of dish.
  4. Place eggs, milk, cream cheese, nutmeg, salt, and pepper in a blender.
  5. Blend until smooth, then pour over the cheese and chives. Bake until the eggs are puffed and golden, 35 to 40 minutes
