This pork shoulder is so easy to make, it practically cooks itself! Instead of fussing around in the kitchen, you can be relaxing on the couch with a glass of wine as you wait for dinner to be ready.
Ingredients:
-
2 pound boneless pork shoulder roast (sirloin roast)
-
kosher salt, to taste
-
1/2 tsp garlic powder
-
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
-
1/3 cup chicken or vegetable broth
-
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
-
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
-
1 tablespoon honey
How To Prepare:
- Season your meat and then place in your crock pot. Pour wet ingredients over and set timer 6-8 hours out on a low temp setting. You could speed things up and put your crock pot on high for four hours … but the low setting is the best option.
- Remove meat and shred. Place back in crock pot and cover with cooking liquid. Keep temp setting on warm until ready to serve.
Note: It's great that you can just set the meat to warmer setting while you get the rest of the meal ready. You don't have to worry about the main protein getting cold, or endure a juggling act of having everything at proper temp when it's time to serve. While the meat is ready, you can focus on taking your time with the rest of dinner. Like getting that glass of wine ready and enjoying every last drop of it.
