This great tasting beef stew recipe makes enough for six servings but if you want plenty of leftovers to enjoy again later you can always double the ingredients. This recipe uses carrots and potatoes but feel free to throw in any vegetables that you like the best. If the sauce gets too thick after simmering, just add more water.

The Ingredients To Gather:
- 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 2 pounds Stew Meat
- 1 Onion
- 3 cloves Garlic
- 1 can Beer
- 4 cups Beef Stock
- 2 cups Water
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Tomato Paste
- 1/2 teaspoon Paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- Black Pepper
- 1-1/2 teaspoon Sugar
- 4 Carrots
- 4 New Potatoes
- Parsley (optional)
The Step By Step Directions To Follow:
- Heat oil, butter over medium-high heat. Brown meat in two batches, setting aside on a plate when brown. Cut pieces in half.
- Add diced onions to pot. Stir, cook for two or three minutes until softened, add garlic for another minute.
- Pour in beer, beef stock, add Worcestershire, tomato paste, paprika, salt, pepper, sugar. Add beef back into pot. Stir to combine.
- Cover, simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
- Add carrots, potatoes, cover, cook for an additional 30 minutes. Taste, adjust seasonings as needed.
