Make It for a Special Occasion or Just to Celebrate Spring!
It's not enough we come across a recipe that really takes us by surprise. After all, we're experienced cooks and we like to experiment with a wide variety of recipes, just like many of you, so we like to think of ourselves as something of culinary experts and pretty worldly when it comes to trying new recipes. However, we recently discovered this delightful berries and cream bake, and we've never tasted (or made) anything quite like it!
This luscious two-layer cake looks like something from a gourmet bakery or that you might see served at high tea at a proper English tea room. It also uses a rich rhubarb marmalade that's downright mouthwatering! The berries on top give it a springlike feel that make it perfect for festive afternoon gatherings, especially those held outside in the sunshine and mild spring air. This cake is guaranteed to add a breath of fresh air to any occasion! A blogger over at The Kitchn website tried it for herself, and had raving reviews!
