This Cheesy Pierogi Lasagna Recipe Tastes Exactly Like The Traditional Pierogi

This recipe makes enough to serve six people. You can have a side salad or some fresh roasted vegetables if you wanted to more heartier meal but this should be good enough.

Let's Get Started…

The Ingredients To Gather:

  • 1 frozen bag of mashed potatoes
  • 1 stick butter/margarine
  • 3-4 large onions, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 8 lasagna noodles
  • Salt and pepper

Directions To Follow:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Make frozen mashed potatoes and lasagna noodles according to the package directions.
  2. Melt butter and sauté onions until very soft.
  3. Spray a 9x13inch pan very well with cooking spray.
  4. Line the bottom of the pan with 4 lasagna noodles.
  5. Cover with mashed potatoes and spread onions over potatoes.
  6. Put 4 lasagna noodles on top and cover with cheese.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes or until bubbly.
