    Ok here goes. 1 guart mayo jar cleaned well. The jars you get now are 30 ounces so that will have to do. You can double this or cut it in half. 1 cup of luke warm water to 1/2 cup of flour. Place both in the jar, close tight and shake until well mixed. Like I said u can add more or less. If it doesn’t seem thick enough add 1 tsp of flour at a time, shaking after each addition.

    Ask any chef and they will tell you that you have to cook a flour based gravy for a minimum of 30 minutes at the rolling simmer to break down the starches or YOU WILL DIE .. Well maybe not, but it’s not good for you 🙂

    I use cornstarch rather than flour, never lumpy, no fat, because I use beef bouillon and water. Just watch the sodium content….but, actually no one uses that much gravy to worry about that!
