
This fantastic homemade nacho cheese sauce makes enough for four to six servings but you can always double the ingredients if you want more. This recipe uses sharp cheddar cheese but it would be just as good with mild cheddar or any other cheese that you like.

- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 8oz block sharp cheddar cheese
The Step By Step Directions To Follow:
- Melt the butter in skillet over medium heat.
- Add flour.
- Whisk until it combines into a smooth blond paste and starts to bubble around the edges.
- Add milk to skillet.
- Continue whisking.
- Raise heat to high, bring to a boil.
- Once the milk has reached a boil, quickly lower the heat, reduce to a simmer.
- Allow sauce to thicken slightly.
- Add cayenne pepper, salt, whisk to combine.
- Add cheese and gently stir, allowing cheese to melt.
