Make sure to get the sweetest strawberries you can because the orange juice and lemon juice will give it a tart flavor. If your strawberries aren't that sweet you can always add more sugar. We also recommend agave as a healthier sweetener.
Let's Get Started…
Ingredients To Gather
-
2 cups water
-
1 cup sugar
-
1 quart strawberries, hulled
-
1/3 cup fresh orange juice
-
1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
Step By Step Directions To Follow
-
Stir 2 cups water and sugar in heavy medium saucepan over high heat until sugar dissolves. Boil 5 minutes.
-
Puree strawberries in food processor in batches. Add strawberry puree and orange and lemon juices to sugar syrup; stir to blend. Cover and refrigerate until cold, about 2 hours.
-
Place mixture in shallow container and freeze, stirring every hour until set, about 6 hours.
Finished!
Then, your sorbet should be ready! Feel free to add fresh fruit and granola on top or just eat as is. It should make enough for 6 servings so you can enjoy it with family and friends and have some fun in the sun.
Enjoy!
