This Is The Steak Recipe Of All Steak Recipes & Once You See The Ingredients You’ll See Why!

The balance of a juicy steak with a creamy mushroom sauce with undertones of sweetness is just the ticket for transforming an ordinary grilled steak into something extraordinary.

Ingredients Needed:

  • 2 thick steaks of your choice

  • 3 cups of sliced baby portobello mushrooms

  • 8 garlic cloves minced

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 4 teaspoons chopped fresh sage

  • ¼ cup Bourbon liquor

  • ½ tablespoon Bourbon liquor

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 tablespoon dry white wine

How To Prepare:

  1. Season each steak with salt and pepper.

  2. Once the olive oil has heated, add the sliced mushrooms to the pan. Cook the mushrooms for about five minutes.

  3. Add the garlic and sage to the heated olive oil and butter. Cook the garlic and sage for about one minute.

  4. Add the heavy cream, mushrooms, and bourbon to the garlic sage mixture.

  5. Cook the cream sauce for about five minutes on medium heat or until the sauce reduces to half the amount.

  6. Add the ½ tablespoon of Bourbon and the 1 tablespoon of white wine to the sauce.

This is not a dish you will want to prepare every night of the week because of the heavy cream. However, for special occasions, this is definitely one of our favorite go-to recipes.

Which is it, 1/4 cup bourbon or 1/2 tbsp bourbon? (I’d prefer both!)
