This Meatloaf Has A Rich Gravy Smothered On Top & A Few Surprising Ingredients Which Make It Irresistible

This meatloaf takes about forty-five minutes to bake and the delicious mushroom gravy takes about twenty minutes to prepare so this meal may take a while but it is so incredible that it will be well worth the wait!

Let's Get Started…

The Ingredients To Gather:

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 cup onion
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup oats
  • 1/3 cup vegetable or tomato juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup white mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups chicken broth,
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Add meatloaf ingredients, mix. Lightly oil oaf pan, add meatloaf ingredients.
  3. Shape meat mixture into loaf. Bake uncovered 45 minutes.
  4. During the last 10-15 minutes of cooking meatloaf, make gravy.
  5. In skillet on medium-low heat, add butter, add mushrooms.
  6. Cook until softened, about 8-10 minutes.
  7. Add flour, cook, stir until browned. Add broth, balsamic vinegar, whisking to combine.
  8. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  9. Reduce to medium-low, continue cooking until gravy has thickened, 5-10 minutes.
  10. Remove from heat,add salt, pepper.
