
You will get about eight (8) to ten (10) servings out of this delicious dessert and the prep time is an easy twenty-five minutes. Believe us, this is a short time well spent!
No Bake Berry Almond Tart
Ingredients:
•1 cup graham cracker crumbs
•1/2 cup almond crumbs (see tips below)
•7 tablespoons butter, melted
•6 ounces cream cheese, softened
•1/4 cup granulated white sugar
•1 1/4 teaspoons almond extract
•6 ounces Cool Whip (about 2 cups)
•1 cup fresh blueberries
•1/2 pound fresh strawberriesDirections:
1.In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, almond crumbs and melted butter. Stir to coat the crumbs with butter. Press the crumbs into the bottom and up the sides of a greased 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom. Set aside.
2.In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to combine the cream cheese, sugar and almond extract; beat until smooth. Fold in the Cool Whip.
3.Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on top of the crust.
4.Top the tart with blueberries and strawberries in a pattern of your choosing.
5.Store the tart in refrigerator until ready to serve.
Be inventive. Create a clever, pretty pattern with the berries you use as a topper. If you have extra almond slices you might consider tossing a few on top as well.
Your family will be thrilled when you bring this dessert out after supper. Do not be surprised if there is none left for a midnight snack or if you find out that someone found it in the refrigerator and it mysteriously disappeared.
