Pop-up restaurants, stores and other venues have been all the rage the past few years. These temporary establishments are usually put up to capitalize on something seasonal or trendy, such as pop-up stores for Christmas or a pop-up theme restaurant based on a TV show, for example.
That was the case recently when a diner in Singapore decided to give itself a makeover to resemble the fictional Litchfield Penitentiary in the hit TV show “Orange Is the New Black.”

Patrons even had to go through a mock “security check” upon entering and have their mugshots taken. Though the theme of the restaurant may sound a little morbid, for the guests it was definitely a festive event. Every single detail was precise and we loved how they were able to replicate it.
The chef and owner, Chef Bjorn Shen based his creations on those served in the fictional prison, he did jazz them up a bit and got outstanding reviews for his menu which was hilarious and also just like the t.v. series.
