Using a pressure cooker is easy and makes it possible to cook a meal a third of the time you would spend cooking in a slow cooker. I love to use them on days when I want simple comfort food, but just don’t have the time to cook and clean. Just add your own favorite spices and your done!
Let’s Get Started…
The Ingredients To Gather:
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 (3 pound) boneless beef chuck roast
- 1 pinch onion powder
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can beef broth
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 onion, cut into 4 wedges
- 4 carrots, peeled and cut into bite-size pieces
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped
The Step By Step Directions To Follow:
Add vegetable oil to your pressure cooker and set at medium-High. Brown the roast on all sides and season to taste with salt, pepper, and as much onion powder as you like.
Add the Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, and onion, then seal the pot with the lid. Once at full pressure, reduce to low and cook for 30 minutes.
Lower the pressure with quick release, then mix in the potatoes and carrots. Seal the lid, bring up to full pressure and cook another 15 minutes.
Finished!
