This Smoked Bacon-Wrapped Pulled Pork Butt Was Amazing – Especially When We Smothered It In Our Homemade Sauce

This pulled pork recipe takes thirty minutes to an hour to prepare. It takes anywhere from ten to fourteen hours to smoke depending on how many pounds of pork you have.

The Ingredients To Gather:

  • Pork Butt (weight is up to you)
  • Montreal Seasoning or Steak Seasoning
  • 1-2 Packages of Thick-Cut Bacon
  • 1 Bottle The Wright Sauce
  • 3-4 cups Hickory or Mesquite wood chips
  • Toothpicks
  • Water

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  1. Cut off any large fatty areas on the outside
  2. Rub seasoning all over  meat.
  3. Wrap several bacon strips around  meat until  covered.
  4. Soak toothpicks in water for at least 20-30 minutes so  they don't burn in the smoker.
  5. You can prepare the meat the night before.
  6. Allow the pork to sit out at room temperature for 30 minutes – 1 hour.
  7. Soak wood chips in  bowl filled with water.
  8. Heat  smoker to 225° F.
  9. Place  handful of wet chips into smoker.
  10. Load pork  into  smoker.
  11. During the last 1-2 hours  pull out  meat,  baste it with sauce, coating it completely. Put it back in  smoker for the remaining time.
  12. Smoke for 1.5-2 hours per pound.  a 7-pound pork butt will need to smoke for 10-14 hours.
  13. The internal temperature should reach 180-200° F.
  14. Take  pork out of  smoker, allow it to sit for 30 minutes before cutting.
  15. Pull  meat apart.
