
This toffee bread pudding makes enough for about six servings but you can double the ingredients if you want more. It takes about twenty minutes to prepare and forty-five minutes to bake. It will smell so good, you won't want to wait to taste it!

The Ingredients To Gather:
- 1/4 cup 1/2 stick room temperature unsalted butter plus a little extra
- 1 1/2 cups flour plus more for pan
- 1 1/2 cups dates
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup or 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/3 cup brown sugar light or dark
- 1/2 pint or 1 cup heavy whipping cream
The Step By Step Directions To Follow:
1 Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2 Butter, flour pan. Combine dates and 1 1/4 cups water in saucepan, bring to boil. Remove from hea, stir in baking soda Cool.
3 Combine flour, baking powder, salt. Beat 1/4 cup butter, sugar, vanilla to blend. Add 1 egg, blend. Add half of flour mixture, half of date mixture, blend. Repeat with remaining 1 egg, flour mixture, and date mixture. Pour batter into pan.
4 Bake 40-45 minutes. Let pudding cool in pan for 30 minutes, invert onto plate.

For Your Sauce:
Mix your sugar, cream and butter into a pan, allow it over medium heat, making sure you stir it continuously. Allow it to boil and stir it for approximately three minutes. Take sauce off of heat, and pour it over your pudding.
