Here's everything for this decadent caramel apple cheesecake. This recipe makes 12 servings.
Ingredients To Gather:
For The Crust:
- 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- ⅛ cup brown sugar
- ⅓ cup butter, melted
For The Filling:
- 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup white sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 green apples, peeled and thinly sliced
For The Topping:
- ¼ cup rolled oats
- ¼ cup flour
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Caramel sauce
Directions To Follow:
Start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and then mixing together the crust ingredients in a bowl. Press the crust mixture in the bottom a greased 8-inch springform pan, and then bake for 5 minutes. In another bowl, combine all of the ingredients for the filling, except for the apples. Spread this mixture over the graham cracker crust, and then place the apple slices on top in layers. Next, mix all of the topping ingredients except for the caramel in another bowl, and then sprinkle this mixture evenly over the apple layer. Bake for another 30 minutes, and when it's done, drizzle the caramel on top.
Yum!
This certainly sounds like one indulgent cheesecake! This is just the kind of dessert to make to have after a hearty dinner such as roast beef or meatloaf.
