Cockroach milk is going to be the superfood of the future.
A group of scientists in India have discovered that cockroach milk is four times as nutritious as cow's milk, and they believe it could be an effective protein supplement. Sanchari Banerjee, the head of this study, told Times of India, “The crystals are like a complete food—they have proteins, fats and sugars. The protein sequences have all the essential amino acids.”
Scientists are trying to find a way to replicate the protein crystals in the lab.
Yuck!
