This version of classic black forest cake tastes so yummy! The amount of effort it takes to make this dessert makes execution a piece of cake.
Let's Get Started…
What You Will Need To Prepare:
-
1 2-layer-size package dark chocolate fudge cake mix
-
2 10 – ounce jars black cherry spreadable fruit or preserves
-
2 tablespoons kirsch, brandy or cherry juice
-
Sweetened whipped cream
-
Chocolate curls
The Execution Plan:
- Start your dessert plan off by preparing your dark chocolate fudge cake according to the box directions. Once your cakes are baked, let them cook completely on a wire rack.
- While your cakes are cooling, combine fruit and kirsch.
- Cut your cake up into squares or whatever shape you'd like your portions to be in, and top with whipped cream and your fruit spread.
- Top your cakes off with chocolate curls, more curls the better! Serve immediately or keep in the fridge until ready to eat.
Finished!
Note: Don't forget about your cake if you're letting it chill in the fridge. It will only last for about an hour in the fridge before your whipped cream begins to look sad.
Happy Baking & Enjoy!
