
Beer soaked brats nestled in a fluffy bun, cuddling with sauerkraut and mustard is my idea of a good time at a tail gate — that, and cold beer.
What You Will Need:
- 10 fresh bratwurst
- 2 sweet onions, sliced
- 3 or 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 3 bottles (12 oz each) beer
- Sauerkraut and mustard, if desired
What To Do:
- First, you'll want to get a nice sear on your brats. Not only is this for presentation, but it locks in the flavor. Then place them in the slow cooker with onion slices, garlic, butter, salt and pepper.
- Cheers! Pour in the beer, don't worry, you still have 21 beers to go through for yourself.
- Enjoy those 21 beers for the next four hours while your brats are cooking on high.
- Now it's time for a brat to soak up all the beer in your belly. Enjoy with mustard and sauerkraut.
