Don’t Make These 3 Mistakes When Substituting Cauliflower for Rice

Cauliflower Rice Can Be Amazing If You Know What to Expect

Most of us think as cauliflower primarily as a side dish. After all, it has a great flavor that's mild enough to go with pretty much anything, whether that's a big, juicy steak or a light and lean piece of grilled chicken. Or, if you're like us, maybe you prefer to eat your cauliflower raw, perhaps on top of salads or maybe dipped in some nice rich and tangy Ranch dressing. Yum! You may not, however, have thought of substituting it for rice in some of your favorite dishes, but this is definitely a growing trend.

The thing is, many people don't know the exact method used for making this substitution, and end up making some common mistakes that can seriously interfere with the quality of their food. One of the main ones is expecting it to have the same flavor as rice. It will be a little different, so if you go in expecting a carbon copy of rice, you'll likely be disappointed. But if you appreciate cauliflower rice for what it is, you may just be its biggest fan!
