Jazz Up Breakfast With These Vanilla Bean Mini Churros

These Churros Make a Great Snack, Too!

We have a major sweet tooth, which means we like pretty much every type of dessert, from chocolate chip cookies to rich and decadent chocolate cake. It also means we're always looking for new and unusual desserts to try, especially those from other countries and cultures. It's never a bad idea to broaden your culinary horizons, and we've found sweet inspiration from all over the world. Take churros, for example. Popular in Europe, Spain and many Latin countries, this sweet treat is now taking the U.S. by storm.

A churro is a pastry-like treat which is fried and then rolled in sugar before being dipped in chocolate or another luscious dipping sauce. We especially like this version, which is a mini churro rolled in vanilla bean sugar. Wow! They're surprisingly easy to make, and while the original version is often eaten for breakfast, we like them for dessert or just as a sweet snack whenever we have a sugar craving.
