There are a lot of ways to make a coconut cream pie, and really they're quite similar, although some just have a little something extra that's hard to describe. That's why we've been on the lookout for a very specific method of making coconut cream pie for quite some while. We grew up eating it at family dinners and at Grandma's house, and there's just something about the old-fashioned home-cooked version that just can't be beaten.

So we were really excited when we came across this particular coconut cream pie recipe because all of the rich, decadent and down-home goodness that just can't be found in store-bought versions. This tastes it came right from Grandma's kitchen, and we have to admit, we got a little emotional with the first bite because it made us a little nostalgic. We'll even go so far as to say this is the absolute best coconut cream pie we've ever tasted!
