Many of us grew up eating Twinkies. They're practically an American institution, and for many of us we looked forward to them all day at school, hoping we'd find one in our lunchbox or maybe indulging in one or two as an after-school snack. These soft and spongy cake-like treats with the luscious cream filling have been around since the 1930s, so now wonder they induce a bit of nostalgia!
Recently, Hostess, which makes Twinkies, introduced a brand new version, and boy are people talking! Don't worry, the original kind is still around, but now it's joined by a chocolate peanut butter variety. Wow! That's right, rich chocolate cake with a creamy peanut butter filling. We're drooling just thinking about it!
