This Cheesy Baked Gnocchi Tastes Like Something Straight From an Authentic Italian Kitchen

One Bite of This Cheesy, Saucy Pasta and You'll Be Hooked…

One of our favorite comfort foods is baked gnocchi…the cheesier the better! There's just something about the flavor and aroma of this authentic Italian dish that makes us feel all warm and cozy inside. We especially like it smothered in a nice marinara sauce, which is just how this recipe makes it. There's one difference from traditional baked pasta, however, and that's that you don't mix the sauce in. We actually really like it this way, because it makes it extra saucy and tangy.

This baked gnocchi uses a nice fontina cheese to add a rich and creamy touch, and when that cheese is all nice and melted, oh boy! You have one heck of a delectable dish. It also calls for some nice fresh basil on top, which really gives it a nice bit of pizzazz. This gnocchi is great all by itself, but we really like it with a nice dinner salad on the side. Yum!
