This recipe uses sweet Italian sausage but if you want a little spicy kick to them, feel free to use hot and spicy sausage instead. If you do not prefer Fontina cheese, you always use provolone. They take fifteen minutes to prepare and forty minutes to bake and the smell will have your mouth watering before you even get to enjoy that first taste!

The Ingredients To Gather:
- 4 tomatoes
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 shallot
- 1 Garlic clove
- 1/2 lb. sweet Italian sausage
- 1/4 c. basil
- 3/4 c. panko crumbs
- 3 oz. Fontina cheese
- 1/4 c. Parmesan
The Step By Step Ingredients To Follow:
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- Core tomatoes, cut 2″-wide circle on top of each.
- Place tomatoes upside-down,drain.
- Heat olive oil.
- Add shallot, garlic, sauté, 1 – 2 minutes.
- Add sausage, cook, 8 minutes.
- Remove sausage mixture to bowl. Stir in basil, Panko, fontina, Parmesan.
- Place tomatoes in dish, season with salt, pepper.
- Stuff tomatoes with sausage mixture.
- Bake,15 – 20 minutes.
