Cabbage is one of those ingredients that is widely underused. Its versatility is astounding and the flavors that it can bring to life in various dishes is unparalleled. Yet, if prepared incorrectly like so many other dishes, the flavor and texture can get ruined very quickly.
The more we read up on cooking cabbage the more we realized there are some pretty common mistakes people make when handling this ingredient.
The biggest mistake we found is that most people only eat it with corned beef on St. Patty's Day! Now, don't get me wrong I LOVE a good corned beef and cabbage meal, however, there are so many other ways to enjoy it that limiting it to one day a year is almost blasphemous.
