A Foolproof Way To Make Thick, Cream Cheese Frosting; Even The Novice Baker Can’t Mess This Up!

A Foolproof Way To Make Thick, Cream Cheese Frosting; Even The Novice Baker Can’t Mess This Up!

Here's everything you need for this decadent, indulgent frosting. You can use any brand of cream cheese you like, but we recommend opting for the thickest one you can find. Make sure that it's at room temperature!

Let's Get Started…

Ingredients To Gather:

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 4 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

The Step By Step Directions To Follow:

  1. Add each of the ingredients, one at a time and beat/stir slowly.
  2. You can use an electric mixer but make sure to use a whisk attachment as the fork can be too rough and ruin the consistency. If you use a spoon for this or any other stirring equipment by hand then you are going to be stirring for a while.
  3. Use the electric mixer for about five minutes until it is nice and thick.

~*~ Helpful Hint ~*~

  1. If you want to add flavor then you can always add small parts as you go. Don't be afraid to get creative on your flavorings!

Finished!

See, it's a lot simpler than you'd expect, isn't it? This cream cheese frosting is perfect for cakes, cupcakes and pretty much any other confection that you can think of because it's light and fluffy and not too sweet.

Happy Baking & Enjoy!
