I  honestly never knew there was more than one way to serve a cheeseburger. It seems pretty fail proof. You place the dressings, burger patty and toppings between two ends of a delicious (preferably toasted) bun and there you go. A delicious meal ready and waiting.

Then this past weekend I went over to a friends house as their child was having a birthday party. I prepared myself for a meal consisting of pizza and cake as that seems to be the staple meal this summer and with all those kids running around I can totally understand why.

But when I arrived I noticed the distinct aroma of burgers being cooked and I exhaled a huge sigh of relief as I had just had pizza at another birthday party the day before and I can only handle so much. I walked into the kitchen where my friends' husband had just placed a tray of delicious looking burger patties and I asked my friend if she needed assistance getting everyone their burgers prepared and she advised me that they were not done.

Confused I looked at them and looked at her when she took out some dough and smiled at my confusion.

Now I will admit I never thought of doing this before but it's ingenious! In fact, I am doing it for my family tonight.
