Growing up on a ranch, my dinner time was always a special time. When I was either working all day, at school or out on the land, dinner was always something that we all looked forward to. Spending time with each other, catching up on the days activities and so on. It was always entertaining and fun to be with everyone and laugh.
Weekend dinners always seemed to be what we all looked forward to most. Knowing that mom was in the kitchen, making a meal for an army (all the friends and family that would show up). Everyone would always be so excited about what would be served that night because it was always fresh and made with a lot of preparation and care.
One of my favorites was when we would get to enjoy a plump, savory roast. The smell of that delicious aroma would have us all looking forward to the dinner bell! So naturally this recipe caught my attention and let me tell you, it does not disappoint!

I love pot roast in the slow cooker.
I would never put on the roast directly on the rack (clean up not worth it) will be just as good cooked in a pan or crock pot!!!
yum.
Not worth the oven clean up!
it willnever happen in this family
Family dinner, what’s that? Today’s fast paced living takes most young folks time but the crock pot is great. Leftovers?
