Are You Looking To Impress? This Slow Cooker Beer Braised Round Roast Couldn’t Be Any Easier To Make

This recipe is a great base for your favorite meal; beer braised beef. You can make adjustments to the recipe as needed, like adding fresh peppers to kick up the heat.

Let's Get Started…

Things You Will Need:

  • 3 lb extra lean top round roast
  • 1 onion, sliced thin
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup molasses
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 cup light beer

How To Prepare:

  1. Start by getting your beef seasoned well with salt and pepper. At this point you can go head and place your meat into the crock pot and cover with onions and garlic.
  2. Now it's time to make your sauce! Go ahead and get a small bowl and whisk together your ketchup, molasses, mustard, vinegar, brown sugar, paprika and cumin. At this point you can decide whether you want a little heat and you can add hot sauce. Pour this mixture over your beef in the crock pot.
  3. Add your last ingredient, beer, to your crock pot and cook on low for eight hours. Once the meat is cooked through, you can remove from your slow cooker and shred or slice.
  4. Take your remaining sauce from the crock pot and place in a sauce pan. You're going to reduce by simmering for about fifteen minutes. Then serve your sauce with your beef.

Finished!

Note: Not sure what to do with this fine beauty of meat? My man would want me to serve it with some homemade mashed potatoes. You can also prepare some fresh veggies to serve along side to lighten up the meal. For lunch the next day, you might want to consider making sandwiches with the leftovers.

Enjoy!

May be a good tasting receipe but your meat is not going to have that char on the outside from a slow cooker.
