Slow Cooked Carne Asada Nachos

Slow Cooked Carne Asada Nachos

Okay, so one of my favorite type of food is Mexican food. Delicious meats, refreshing guacamole and some spicy salsa. If you were searching for something in this category then you have came to the right place because this recipe actually gives you all that.

Carne asada literally means “grilled meat,” usually a skirt steak, a flank steak or a flap steak and it can be served as a main dish or it can be used as an ingredient in other dishes. For this recipe, were not really going to grill the meat, we are going to use a crockpot. Now, this recipe does not take as long in the slow cooker as most recipes do, around 6 hours on low and 4 hours on high, but you can leave it in a little longer so the meat is much more tender and just really comes apart. In regards to the spices, you can adjust the spice to what fits you.

This is really great for the whole family because you can add some vegetables in it and make tacos for later that week!
