I always thought sun tea was just throwing some tea bags and water in a container, putting it in the sunlight and then forgetting about it until I get thirsty. I always had the basic idea right, but there is so much more to sun tea that I had no clue about. There are people out there who actually have made an art of it, using the right little tricks and little details that create the perfect brew of fresh sun tea.
I also learned that sun tea can be unsafe if you are reckless with it! My method was probably not the smartest, but since I have learned the right way to make sun tea I definitely notice the difference in quality.
I love the idea of leveraging the sun ray's of light to infuse my water with heat and saturate it with the herbs of my teas, giving it flavor and energy. I am excited to try an assortment of flavors and sip on fresh sun tea all season!
